An electric fireplace answers the question a real hearth cannot: how do you get the fire without the chimney, the permit, the ash, or the wall being rebuilt. This one installs recessed or wall-mounted — recessed gives the flush, built-in line that reads as architecture; surface-mounting needs nothing but the fixings in the box.
The flame is an LED effect that runs with or without the heater, so it works in July as easily as January. On heat it puts out 5000 BTU.
It comes in 42", 50", 60", 68", so the fit is a choice rather than a compromise.
